IDEA – Miniatures by Improvisers

I wanted to create an audio-visual dialogue with musicians from the international improvisation scene - a shrill, colourful, touching video collage full of different approaches to sound and image and the world, and now I want to show it. It was created with "carte blanche" for musicians with whom I had worked in recent years and whom I now specifically invited to contribute approximately one-minute pieces of music, if possible with their own images, to the project. Participants are members of Mopomoso TV London, Oxford Improvisers, Ensemble Discoveries Berlin, Santa Sprees, Paul Hubweber, Sue Schlotte, Limpe Fuchs, Charles Gayle, Yoko Miura, as well as Gudrun Arndt (photographer), Dwayne Jahn (draughtsman) and many others. If music came without a picture, I added my own or modified archive recordings.
